Skiers Line Up At OHSU Tram In Preparation For Impending Snowpocalypse
Skiers and snowboarders began queueing at the OHSU gondola Tuesday morning following forecasts predicting a whopping zero to one inches of snowfall. One snowboarder, Brody Griffith, couldn’t hold back his level of stoke after hearing KGW meteorologist Matt Zaffino’s promising words. “I can’t wait to get to the top of Marquam Hill to get pitted, it’s gonna be so gnar gnar up there if we get that big dump that was promised. Sennnnnd it.”
Down at the Center for Health and Healing Ski Lodge, local mom Katie McQueen told us how excited she was for her children to have the day off. “It’s great that the kids can take advantage of this huge snowstorm and get some ski lessons in. You have to teach them young and we’re lucky to have this state-of-the art ski gondola right here in the city. On big pow pow days like this you just have to get up to throw down on those first tracks.“
As of press time, it’s shaping up to be a beautiful bluebird day in Portland. The tens of snowflakes that have fallen are glistening beautifully as they melt away.
