Casa Diablo Switches to $3 Bills Due To Inflation

Green dollar bills on a blue background. 100 dollar bills close up. The concept of wealth and success. Money flies in the air.

The world’s first and only vegan strip club is not immune to the financial impacts of inflation. With supply shortages abound, consumer demand runs hot and corporate greed proliferates. Portland strip club Casa Diablo has thus been forced to change a decades-long tradition. The establishment, which has long championed $2 bills for tipping, has enacted a new policy. ⁣

“To ensure the fiscal well-being of our establishment and our dancers, starting Monday we will only be accepting $3 bills,” wrote the club’s vice president of business operations Tabitha Griffin in a statement. “These legal tender notes will be required from our patrons for all stage related tipping endeavors. While we don’t serve cheese, we will be mandating you tip with threes.“⁣

The ATM on site will be fully stocked with stacks of freshly minted Roosevelts, and customers are largely supportive of the new measure. “Anything to support these awesome performers,” said Northwest Portland resident and barista Harold Anwar. “I want to make sure they’re paid appropriately even in these changing economic times. I know that whenever someone comes into my coffee shop and pays with a $3 bill, I’ll give them a wink and a smile, because I’ll know where they got it.“⁣
