Tiny $2200 Studio In Luxury Apartment Building Justified By Rooftop Foosball Table

Finding the perfect place to live in Portland can be a major challenge, leaving many folks no choice but to settle on a domicile that may not match the lifestyle that they had in mind for themselves. Some lucky few, however, get to have it all. We found one such special person, Michael Taggart of Reno, who recently signed an 18-month lease at the Prometheus in Slabtown.⁣

“I was looking through Zillow for a place to rent for what seemed like forever, and then finally the perfect place appeared right in front of me,” Taggart said. “It was an image of a group of very hot, very happy looking young people laughing in a beautiful furnished luxurious lounge. ‘That could be me,’ I thought. I swiped to the next image – it was a picture of a dumbbell rack, a treadmill, and an elliptical. ‘A fitness center? Could this place get any better?!’ I swiped once more and there it was: a frickin foosball table…on a rooftop! It was like an advertisement for Eden. I put my application in immediately.“⁣

Taggart moved in two weeks later and remained largely optimistic. “Sure, there wasn’t a single image of the actual apartment that they ended up giving to me, and sure, it’s kinda difficult to pay $2200 per month for a 479 square foot studio. It also stung a little to learn that parking wasn’t included and I’d have to pay an extra $200 per month for a spot, but maybe I’ll drop the car and get a bike. But it’s all good – I can’t wait to network with other hot young people in the exclusive ‘club house’ and have some wild nights playing foosball on the rooftop. I’ve never actually seen anyone up there, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of time until I’m just another one of the hot young people from the pics. Yeah baby! I’m not just living the dream, I’m killin’ it!”
