Pandemic Restrictions No Match For Influencer With #Wanderlust
As the pandemic rages on, health officials are pleading with Americans to mask up and stop any non-essential travel in the interest of reducing the spread of Covid. Many would-be travelers have heeded the experts’ advice, but some people just can’t help themselves.
“The pandy has been hard on all of us,” remarked 23-year-old Stephanie Wilson. “I of all people get it – as a Gemini moon rising, my level of empathy is heightened. But the mountains are calling and I must go. The beaches, they yearn for me, and I them. My travel itch has become a full blown rash, and it burns something fierce. My threes of thousands of Instagram fans and six life coaching clients are relying on my adventurous spirit to unclip the boom fork from the mast and unfurl my #wanderlust sail. It is time for me to travel wherever the wind takes me – responsibly, of course.”
After quarantining for 18 hours with friends, Wilson flew to Cabo. Upon checking into her hotel, she could not hold back her exuberance.
“The pandemic is totes sad, but I think that modeling my sarong collection offsets any ill effects that my trip may cause. My followers are counting on me to be a beacon of positivity, bikini pics, optimism, protein powder deals, love, skincare regimen tips, being a boss babe, and of course, liberal political memes. I know the CDC insists on no non-essential travel, but to be honest, these pina coladas are in literal hollowed out pineapples and the beautiful local people really need the light that I bring to the world. If that’s not essential, I don’t know what is. Plus, I’m pretty sure Fauci would agree – it’s not selfish if it’s self-care.“
