Trump Warns Voters That Caravan Of Mexican Souls Is Heading Towards Border Of The Living
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, begins today. Celebrated primarily by those of Mexican heritage, the holiday is a celebration of friends and family members who have died. Families pray, sing songs, prepare feasts, and create offerings that are believed to encourage visits from the land of the dead. The departed souls hear their prayers, smell their foods and join in the celebrations.
Fox News commemorated the holiday with a grim segment warning Americans that a caravan of deceased Mexicans is headed towards the border of the mortal realm. This alarmed President Trump, who immediately ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to restrict families’ ability to reconnect after being forcibly separated due to death. He then tweeted that “bad hombres are bringing back their ancestors to vote for Biden and STEAL the election. BUILD THE WALL!”
The Scallion’s chief Latinx Culture Correspondent Sigfried Q. Beauregard III fact-checked the claims made by the president and his propaganda network. “The souls of the departed pose no threat to your safety, to your ability to vote, or to election security,” assured Beauregard III. “Election Day is Tuesday, and if you are tired of these false narratives rooted in fear, racism, xenophobia, and lies, the most important thing you can do is to vote.”
