She checked her phone for answers. Multiple “u up?” texts were sent by her ex around 2:00 AM. Standard. Lyft revealed a ride to her friend Serena’s house around 4:00 AM, solving the “whose bathtub is it anyways?” mystery. Finally she checked Venmo, revealing a goldmine of transactions occurring over the previous 12 hours. Bingo.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
“Okay, we’ve got $26 to Serena at 9:30,” she noted. “Looks like it’s for drinks at Bar Bar. Makes sense.” As she continued reading her transaction history, her memos got more and more difficult to decipher. “A cross emoji payment, then an hour later a coffin emoji payment. At press time, Moffat was building out a detective board in an effort to piece together the remaining parts of her night. When asked if it was all worth it, she simply replied, “time will tell.“⁣⁣
