Friend “Will Definitely” Listen to Podcast You Sent Them
Thursday’s yarn club gathering was moving along delightfully for local weaver Sherry Davidson until she brought up her partner’s mushroom foraging ventures. The small conversational contribution provoked an immediate response from her co-hobbyist and armchair expert who had just listened to a 22-minute podcast on the subject.
“Wow, it’s so interesting that Denny is interested in mushroom foraging! I just listened to an amazing podcast about the impacts of chanterelle harvesting on carbon-eating fungus. It’s actually really bad for the forest to be out there taking mushrooms, and it contributes to the destruction of an important carbon-filtering ecosystem. Basically, chanterelle foraging is actually making climate change worse…well I think so. I’ll send it over to you so you can listen to it.”
“Wow, that’s so interesting,” said Sherry, politely nodding along. “What’s the name of the podcast again? yeah, I’ll definitely listen to it.“
